Gite 2 ‘Le Tournesol’ – Sleeps 2-5 in 2 ensuit bedrooms
Our second gite ‘Le Tournesol’ is located next to gite 1 within the old tabacco barn and was opened in 2008. It occupies 2 floors. The ground floor is of an open plan design comprising Kitchen, dining and lounge area’s and has a separate downstairs WC. The galley style fully fitted kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences including a dish washer and microwave oven. A childs high chair is also provided within the gite. The lounge area is furnished with a modern and comfortable corner suite which also converts to a bed settee. Your full size TV receives Sky UK Freeview channels and a DVD player. PS2 games console and a good selection of games, toys and books etc. Upstairs are the 2 ensuit bedrooms (1 double and 1 triple including double bed, single bed and childs cot) sleeping up to 5 guests. One of the ensuit bathrooms has a full size bath with shower over, wash basin, vanity cabinet with shaving point and WC. The other ensuit bathroom has a large corner hydro-shower unit, wash basin, vanity cabinet with shaving point and WC. At the rear of the gite are the large French doors which open on to your private terrace with further seating for up to 5, awning, parasols and barbacue equipment. The terrace overlooks the magnificent views over the dronne valley said to be one of the best in the Dordogne!
All linen and towels are provided (free pool towels available upon request). There is ample off-road secure parking within the property boundaries. Separate Laundry with washing machine, iron and ironing board etc.
The Pool & Gardens…
You will just love the beautiful & well maintained larger than average swimming pool with crystal clear water . It\’s 13 metres x 6 metres with roman steps at the shallow end (1.1 metre) and ladder steps at the deep end (1.8 metres). The pool complies with latest French safety laws and has an infra red security alarm system and has ample terrace with sun loungers, cushions and parasols. The pool is floodlight during the balmy summer evening . When it gets too hot we have a shaded \’bar area\’ overlooking the pool with tables & seating to relax and enjoy a refreshing cool drink. Large central BBQ area as well as individual BBQ\’s.
There is a pool table, table tennis & traditional boules court – all provided free for our guests use. Surrounded by manicured lawned gardens with pretty fruit trees all in a relaxing atmosphere. Situated in an elevated position amongst the rolling hills of the Dronne Valley. Just 5 minutes from local shops and restaurants.
