Apart from being a perfect place to unwind, clear the mind and cleanse the spirit ‘Le Moulin de la Louve’ is well situated for visiting medieval hilltop towns and villages, unspoilt forests and lakes, celtic stones, burgundy wineyards and more.

The property is about 30 minutes away from the A6, (Exit the Motorway at ‘Avallon’) which is the main motorway between Paris and Lyon.
Practice your French in the small village shops and markets in the busy gastronomical town of Saulieu. Where the local butcher will tell you all about the famous ‘Charolais’ beef or the Fromager will explain in depth the merits of the strong-tasting cheese from the local monastry. Dine out in in style at the nearby Bernard Loiseau four star restaurant, or more simply have a great meal on the communual long oak table at the ‘Café Parisien’ or at the many other cafés, restaurants, and auberges situated in Saulieu, a historical stopping-off place between Paris and the South for centuries.

In a quiet peaceful and isolated location – Our gîte is self catering has two main rooms, bedroom, kitchen, dining room and is fully equipped. Breakfast can be arranged at an extra cost.

We are only 5km from Saulieu – which is the nearest town. The gite can be rented on a nightly or a weekly basis. Ideal for stop-overs and also for House Hunting in Burgundy, Julie and Denis are both in the French Property market and can therefore give you some great advice!
