Les Trois Chenes – gite and B&B near swimming lake
Translation
Our newly converted gîte and B&B provide excellent accommodation of a high standard. Registered with Gîtes de France, there are three bedrooms accommodating seven guests in the gite and Four bedrooms for 10 guests in the B&B. All our rooms are en-suite.
Outside there are extensive lawns where the children can play, a small barbeque, peach trees, grape vines, flowers and swings in a separate play area. The private parking is off-road and enclosed.
There are plenty of things to do within 15 minutes drive from Videix. Ideal for walkers and cyclists, the many quiet roads and paths pass through beautiful countryside and lead to pretty villages. You can swim and sunbathe at Videix beaches or hire kayaks, pedalos, canoes, sailing boats and wind-surfs at Videix Lake. There are two riding stables nearby, an adventure play centre and many farms to visit. Fishing is a great local pastime, (fishing permits are cheap and easily available) and only half an hour away there are two golf courses with full facilities. There is something to please everyone in the family.
Les Trois Chênes is situated within the Parc Naturel du Perigord-Limousin in SW France on the edge of the hamlet of Videix, surrounded by the unspoilt countryside of Limousin; ideal for painting and sketching.
From Videix you can visit many historic towns: Rochechouart, Saint Junien,
La Rochefoucauld, Limoges, Angoulême and Perigueux.
We also offer art and painting courses, and organise holidays where you can visit local food and wine producers and enjoy our rich, regional cuisine.
