Gite La Jonchère is a holiday cottage in the gorgeous unspoilt Combrailles region of the Auvergne.

We are in a secluded and tranquil location surrounded by nature, with a lovely market town only 7km away.
As well as being the perfect place to relax and unwind, the area is ideal for outdoor activities including mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, birdwatching and fishing

The Gite is a barn conversion with an original oak frame. There is a comfortable double mezzanine bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, sunny dining area, front and back terraces and a generous lounge with a woodburner, film, book and dvd libraries.
Cotton bedlinen and towels are provided and we offer a free laundry service. Free Wi Fi is also available to our guests.

The Gite is attached to our house and is set in a large secluded garden, with a spacious lawn, deckchairs and a hammock.
The Gite is fully equipped for self catering. We also offer continental breakfasts with fresh croissants and bread from the local boulangerie, and delicious evening meals cooked by Tim, a chef with 17 years experience, using local and home grown produce.

Stone house built in 1747, recently renovated, has all modern comforts (american fridge, central heating, gas stove, washing machine) in the Cantal/Correze border, minutes from Lake Enchanet, 20 kilometers from Salers, on the Auvergne cheese route and on the Cantal hills route.

Sleeps 5 guests (and can be extended to 8 by compromising a little bit on comfort): 1 double bed, 2 twin beds and 3 futons.

Les Hirondelles, Chabanol

Les Hirondelles – a very spacious gite at the heart of the beautiful Auvergne region of France.
The gite has on the ground floor, a well equipped kitchen, very large salon with dining area, 2 bed settees, big fireplace with wood burning stove and shower room. upstairs there is a big bedroom with a double bed & 1/2 single beds and a mezannine room with 3 single beds.
From our large garden there are stunning views across the Allier valley to the Sancy mountains. The countryside and garden abound with birds, flowers, insects & wildlife which makes this area a nature lovers dream. For walkers there are well marked routes which leave from our drive and there are VTT routes & bikes for hire nearby. A pretty pland`eau (10 mins drive) gives opportunities for swimming. Issoire, Cleremont Ferrand, Puy en Velay & Vichy are within easy driving distance as are the Sancy mountains with 2 ski resorts, thermal spas,Vulcania & Puy de Dome.
So whether you want a relaxing holiday or the chance to explore the beautiful area of the Auvergne with its many attractions, a stay at les Hirondelles is a must.
