Outside there are extensive lawns where the children can play, a small barbeque, peach trees, grape vines, flowers and swings in a separate play area. The private parking is off-road and enclosed.

There are plenty of things to do within 15 minutes drive from Videix. Ideal for walkers and cyclists, the many quiet roads and paths pass through beautiful countryside and lead to pretty villages. You can swim and sunbathe at Videix beaches or hire kayaks, pedalos, canoes, sailing boats and wind-surfs at Videix Lake. There are two riding stables nearby, an adventure play centre and many farms to visit. Fishing is a great local pastime, (fishing permits are cheap and easily available) and only half an hour away there are two golf courses with full facilities. There is something to please everyone in the family.

The Cottage
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and a landing area with sofa bed, which can sleep an additional 2 people. The cottage has a large dining/living area with TV and DVD player, a newly fitted kitchen and a large bathroom with shower.

Bed & Breakfast
The main house offers bed & breakfast accommodation for up to 9 people. The Garden Suite consists of three rooms, one double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the garden, a twin bedroom and a shower room comprising a shower, wc and hand basin. The suite would suit a family with children or couples who do not mind sharing the shower room.
The Orchard Room is a large, dual aspect, double room with en-suite shower room, comprising a shower, WC and hand basin. The room has beautiful views over the orchard and beyond.
The Village Room is a large, sunny, dual aspect double room with e-nsuite shower room comprising a shower, WC and hand basin.
Tea and Coffee making facilities are available in all the rooms.
An extra bed or cot can be made available in any of the rooms upon request.

Both properties have full use of the extensive garden plunge pool and BBQ area. Because of its elevated position Le Pelateau has breathtaking views across the valley, these views can be enjoyed from both the garden and many of the rooms. Only 10 mins off A20, very easy to find.

River Cottage is located on the banks of the River Vige and surrounded by 10 acres of private woodland.

The gîte can sleep six adults via, two double beds one with an extra single bed plus a sofa bed in the lounge.

Nearby towns include Bourganeuf, Gueret and Bourganeuf and a lovely beach lake is only a short drive away.

Le Pelateau is situated in the beautiful little village of Montgibaud. Montgibaud can be found in the Correze; a department of the Limousin, nestled just below the border of the Haute-Vienne. Le Pelateau\’s position is ideal for visiting/house hunting in both the Correze and the Haute Vienne departments of the Limousin and the Dordogne; or as a mid-way stop over on your way to the south. Montgibaud is situated just 10 minutes off exit 42 on the A20 and only 45 minutes drive from Limoges airport.

The Cottage/Gîte is separate from the main house and can accommodate up to 6 people. The Cottage is spacious, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, whilst maintaining its cottage atmosphere. The Cottage has views across the garden and beyond. The accommodation consists of:
 
The living/dining area benefits from a large dining table comfortably seating 6 people, a seating area around the wood burner, a large rug, TV, DVD player and a gas heater.
 
The kitchen has newly fitted units with a gas oven, hob and extractor hood, a fridge, and a double sink. Provided in the kitchen are a toaster, kettle, cafetiere, blender, iron and ironing board. All necessary cooking utensils are available including a 6 person dinner service.
 
The Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one double with electric heater and one twin with bunk beds; both bedrooms have ample cupboard space and rugs. A bed settee, sleeping 2, is available on the balcony landing area, which also has cupboard space.
 
The bathroom has a large shower, wash basin with mirror lighting, a toilet, shelving, clothes airer and an electric heater.
 
Guests have full use of Le Pelateau’s large garden and the BBQ, with outside seating area. The Cottage guests are asked to request to use the BBQ as we may be using it for our weekly BBQ evening. The Cottage guests are more than welcome to join the evening, but this must be booked in advance. Board games and cards are held in the main house but are available to guests in The Cottage. All bedding and bath towels are provided free of charge and access to a washing machine is available for a small charge. Le Pelateau has spacious off road parking. A welcome pack is provided for all guests on arrival.
