Warm and cosy in winter (wood burning stoves and full central heating), the house is cool and calm in the heat of summer. The 2-metre thick walls and the shutters provide eco-friendly climate control.

The swimming pool with jacuzzi in the walled garden has a motorised cover so it’s open April – October. Enjoy the sun or the shade under the veranda. The pool-area garden is landscaped with paths, paved areas, terraces and raised beds containing a wide collection of aromatic plants, climbing roses and leafy vines.

The house is surrounded by lavender fields and fruit trees, and it’s just a couple of minutes stroll to the local river Eygues. This part of Provence has changed little for centuries. Life is slow and peaceful; it is a perfect place to unwind and re-evaluate the quality of your life.

Chalet Chamoissiere is a newly constructed ground-floor chalet apartment in the Serre Chevalier ski area, with pool, sauna and hammam. In the spa village of Monetier-les-Bains, at 1500m altitude, it is a short walk to the slopes, which you can see from the terrace.

It is fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, hob, fridge and oven. Double bedroom and comfortable sofa beds in the living area. Shower room with w.c. and washing machine. There is a ski locker and boot storage room accessible from the lobby and a covered terrace with views of the mountains, and a small garden.

It is beautifully finished in larch and local stone, with underfloor heating from the local thermal springs and top of the range bathroom and kitchen fittings. There is access to a heated pool with sauna and hammam. Each apartment has it\’s own private changing cubicle.

We offer Sunday-Sunday rental, except in low season, when there is a 3 night minimum stay. End of stay cleaning is included, but we do expect that the property is left in a reasonable state, and rubbish and recycling removed. The apartment is normally available after 3pm, and we expect departure by 01am. Early arrivals or late departure is by prior arrangement only.
