Each of the 5 bedrooms has private en-suite facilities (one has a separate luxury bathroom).  Sleeps 10, plus 2 small children in cot and toddler bed (no extra charge).   The large kitchen is fully equipped, with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery.  The lounge has a delightful woodburner, plus Sky tv (basic channels), DVD player, and Playstation. The dining room isn’t used much, as most people like to eat ‘al fresco’ by the pool (with alarm), which overlooks the hidden valley.  There is a separate laundry room, with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

This is the place where you can totally relax and unwind.  Children are welcome, and there are outdoor toys, swing, basketball hoop, 2 bikes, table tennis table, as well as board games.  There  is a golf driving range in its infancy – you just have to collect the balls afterwards!

Spend a lazy afternoon by the lakes and try out the rowing boat.  Walk through the woods and discover the old car hidden there.

Smoking is allowed outdoors.  There is plenty of room for parking.

This is a good base from which to discover all that the area has to offer: nearby beach and lake at Lac de Gurson, with adventure playground, mini golf, horse riding, bars and restaurants; Montpon-Ménestérol, where you can hire a kayak and see France from the water;  St Emilion, famous for its wines and underground monolithic church; Castillon la Bataille, with the annual renactment of the 100 Years War; Bergerac, a town where new and old mix together; Bordeaux, with its ’4 Quartiers’; Brantôme, which is really pretty; Périgueux, with its famous domed church; Sarlat de Canéda, on the banks of the Dordogne; local weekly markets, night markets, concerts – there’s so much to do and see.

In a peaceful farming hamlet between Avranches and St Hilaire du Harcouet, Le Fresne offers peace and tranquility yet is only a short drive to a bustling town or the coast. We are only 2 miles from the beautiful protected Selune Valley where a dam has created the lake of Vezins, offering boating, fishing and many scenic walks. The countryside is pleasingly rural and unspoiled and there are good seaside facilities within easy reach.

The private solar heated swimming pool 8m x 4m is surrounded by a decked sunbathing terrace and is overlooked by a covered veranda which is ideal for outdoor dining. The pool is securely fenced with access from the veranda and garden by lockable gates. The garden is mainly laid to lawn and orchard. There is ample garden furniture and a large brick built barbeque. Within the grounds is a games room with a full size POOL TABLE (no additional charge)

The kitchen/dining area has been carefully designed to be open plan and sociable. The farmhouse dining table seats up to 14 people and we have 2 high chairs for babies. There is also a breakfast bar for quick snacks or to gather around for aperitifs.
We love to cook and appreciate how important it is to have the right equipment. Our kitchen is a real home from home with lots of preparation and storage space. Equipped with two fridges, dishwasher, hob and oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and much much more…

We have a large comfortable lounge with 3 sofas, the perfect place to relax and chill out. Large original fireplace housing a log burner. The television has English channels and there is also a DVD/video with films for all ages. We also have plenty of games and books.

We have 6 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 14 guests with a layout as follow:-
Bedroom 1 – family room with 1 double and 1 day bed (large single)
Bedroom 2 – triple room with 1 single and 1 bunk bed
Bedroom 3 – double bed
Bedroom 4 – double bed
Bedroom 5 – double bed (on 2nd floor)
Bedroom 6 – twin beds (on 2nd floor)
All bedrooms are fully furnished with hanging and drawer space, mirrors and bedside lamps.

We have 3 bathrooms/WC.
