The spacious yet cosy Lounge/Dining room retains the original open beams in the ceiling, and has a feature stone wall at one end with a wood-burning stove. Doors lead from both sides of the room; one to the Courtyard, the other to the private garden and terrace area. Beyond the garden is the parking area and sheltered communal grounds shared by our other two properties. Although primarily a holiday cottage for a couple or small family, we have provided ample crockery and other equipment to host visitors, and the dining table will comfortably seat six adults. The wood-burning stove, carefully placed lighting and good quality CD player combine to provide the perfect winter getaway for a romantic weekend, the likes of which are very hard to find in the off-season months in Brittany.

The bedroom is 5m x 7m, providing ample room for a young family, as well as being a really luxurious hideaway for a couple. The Bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, and plenty of room for an additional cot or foldaway bed if required. Please note that the stairs to the Bedroom are quite steep, and may not be suitable for some people.

The open beamed Kitchen is very spacious and overlooks the rear garden and terrace. With modern fittings, washing machine, microwave, filter coffee machine, fridge and freezer, the kitchen is well equipped for the creation of gourmet meals, but equally well suited to summer barbecues and salads! A half-glazed door leads from the kitchen directly onto the terrace, making it easy for the “chef” to use the BBQ provided!

The Bathroom has a large tiled shower cubicle with a powerful shower unit, built in hand basin and vanity unit and a WC. There is also an electric razor point in the Bathroom.

Like all of our properties, Nefflier Cottage is equipped with traditional furniture and modern appliances, in order to retain its character whilst providing you with a comfortable and luxurious holiday home.

Richard and Sue invite you to stay with them in the enchanting, undiscovered Parc D’Armorique, only one and half miles from the sea. Our delightful gite, Pebbles has recently been renovated using natural stone and pine, in keeping with the Breton style and are furnished to a high standard.

Pebbles: sleeps 2 to 3 in two bedrooms and has an attractive living room/kitchen and a bathroom downstairs. Outside there is a small patio with a barbecue. We have a lovely garden where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, which surrounds us.

Downstairs there is a typical French living room/kitchen with a tiled floor, small cooker, microwave and fridge. Also a music centre for your pleasure. There is an attractive tiled bathroom with toilet, shower and hand-basin. Outside there is a small patio with furniture and small barbecue which faces the sun in the evening. You are welcome to share our spacious garden, with pond, lawn and flower border.

Pebbles is situated at Kergalet which is a tiny sleepy hamlet just outside Crozon and about 6 miles from Camaret-Sur-Mer. We are under one and a half hours by road from Roscoff where the Plymouth ferry docks. There are at least two Brittany Ferries a day in summer and the crossing takes about 6 hrs. There is also Condor Ferries to St Malo The French roads from Roscoff are good, so travelling to us could not be easier. We send all our guests a ‘how to find us’ map with your confirmation letter.

The cottage used as our family holiday retreat has been carefully restored, retaining original features with modern comforts. The large vacation cottage (75m2) overlooks the garden, neighbouring fields and lake, providing a relaxing environment with charm and character for up to four people.

Les Boutilloux has a huge sunny, south facing sejour (30m2) – an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen area, with French doors opening onto the outside terrace.

The kitchen is well equipped for everyday cooking, from nut cracker and garlic press to food processor. There is a four ring gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge freezer. You can cook a full three course meal with the ample crockery, cutlery and china provided. There is also a washing machine and outside washing line.
The lounge area with seating for four, has a modern wood burning stove, and television with English satellite channels (including movies and children’s channels).
The dining area leads out to the sunny patio, with garden furniture for relaxing and sun bathing.
There is a large pretty double bedroom (up a couple of steps), single bedroom (with door to patio), and a further single bed and wardrobe in the vestibule adjacent to the bedrooms.
A shower room and separate toilet leads off the sejour.
With electric heating in the double bedroom, and a lovely 10KW woodburner in the Sejour, the cottage is perfect for out of season breaks for couples. There is a 10% discount for couples staying in April, May, June, September and October, or for guests staying 2 weeks or more. There is a utility charge for bookings from 1 November to 31 March. This lovely green area borders the Natural Regional Park of Périgord-Limousin, and is a favourite holiday location for nature lovers.
Its landscape of rolling hills, pastures and woodlands is a delightful venue for walking, cycling or traffic free driving in the countryside, where you may explore charming villages, with their typical barns made of stones quarried from limestone or crystalline bedrocks, and taste delicious regional specialities such as foie gras and tarts made with local apples.

On your doorstep you will find many chemins (lanes) and pathways suitable for walking and cycling and offering easy access to the loveliest countryside where you can enjoy the area’s flora and fauna. For the more energetic canoes and kayaks can be hired in Corgnac allowing access to the River Isle or take a rail cycle along the chemin de fer to Thiviers. Within 30 minutes drive there are numerous recreational lakes with sandy beaches where you can swim, fish and sunbathe. There are three golf courses within easy reach.There are an abundance of medieval and renaissance villages and hamlets to explore within the region including Sarlat, St Jean de Cole and Brantome. However, if you prefer a more structured approach there are sufficient chateaux, museums and art galleries as well as guided tours of the area’s underground cave systems, including the impressive cave paintings at Lascaux II and Rouffignac, to engage the mind.Finally, for the gourmet, some of the world’s finest foods and wines are produced in the region and are sold daily at any one of the area’s lively markets, and with a diversity of restaurants to suit every taste and pocket you will be spoilt for choice. Sarlande There is a small local shop in the village, 5 minutes walk away, which sells a range of provisions. Next to the shop is the local restaurant.
Angoisse The local bakery is 5 minutes drive away, which makes fresh bread daily. They also have a restaurant in the hamlet. Rouffiac This famous recreational lake is 10 minutes drive, and has many seasonal activities including kayaking, surfing, sunbathing, paddling, skiing, canoeing, and walking, providing many days of entertainment for all the family.
Jumilhac le Grand The chateau at Jumilhac is open to the public during the summer and is about 15 minutes drive away. It hosts a Sunday market during July and August. Set in the National Park this area is rich in beautiful scenery and many signed walks. Gold has been mined here from 100BC and the musee de L’Or retraces the history of gold mining and panning. You can still pan for gold in the rivers around Jumilhac – why not try – you might strike it rich.
St. Yrieix la Perche The medieval town of St. Yrieix is about 20 minutes drive away, and has a number of fine restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. There are small specialist shops including chocolatier, tea room, butcher, bakers and a delicatessen, as well as three supermarkets. The Limousin region is world famous for it’s high quality white porcelain, which may be purchased in local shops.A market takes place every 2nd & 4th Friday morning, with excellent food stalls, fresh fruit & vegetables, clothes & crafts in the cobbled streets. It is a good cultural centre with galleries & special events during the summer months.
St Yrieix is proud of it’s new multi million euro swimming and sports complex which opened in 2009, providing a modern environment for serious and recreational swimmers alike.In the summer, artisans display their arts and handicrafts throughout the town, with the town’s shop windows festooned with delightful pieces of local artists works.

Pompadour
There is a beautiful chateau which is open to the public during the summer and within ½ an hour in the car. From March onwards there is a full fixture list of horse racing, show jumping and dressage at Pompadour race course and stud farm.

Perigueux
This is the principal town of the region within 45 minutes drive, and the administrative centre for most aspects of daily life. It is an ancient town with a long history which can be traced back in its architecture. It has gastronomic specialities such as truffles, foie gras, honey, which can be enjoyed in the twice weekly markets which spills across the central boulevards and the pedestrian quarter.

Limoges
The city of Limoges is within an hours drive.
Porcelain
Limoges Porcelain is one of the most famous types of French porcelain. The name refers to porcelain made at factories around the Limoges area, and it is a hard-paste porcelain that is very collectable. The porcelain is still made today, and one of the companies still manufacturing it are Haviland.
Many of the factories have small museums showcasing their porcelain. Additionally, the Musee Municipal de l’Eveche and the Musee National de la Porcelaine Adrien Dubouche have good porcelain collections. The Musee National de la Porcelaine Adrien Dubouche also offers workshops to those who are interested, but visitors should note that it is closed on Tuesdays.
Cathedral
The Cathedral of Saint-Etienne is a prominent building in the city of Limoges. It has a wonderful bell tower, which is partly octagonal. The rood screen in the Cathedral is also a fine example of renaissance work.
Aquarium
The Aquarium du Limousin is situated in Limoges, close to the Town Hall. Visitors can marvel at a large variety of species. The Aquarium is open all year, apart from between Christmas and New Year.
Grotte de Villars
The villars grotto is the largest underground network in the Perigord and within easy reach. The underground river has hollowed out huge chambers, connected to each other by galleries. During the guided tour you will be able to admire impressive stalacties and enjoy the impressive son et luminere show.
Oradour-sur-Glane
During World War ll, Oradour-sur-Glane was the scene of a cruel massacre carried out by SS troops. The remains of Oradour have now been preserved as a world famous commemorative museum and resource centre near Limoges.

The Grenier is the smaller sister of The Grange (see separate posting) and is part of a group of farmhouse buildings providing self catering accommodation for couples, families and small groups.

Our self catering properties with their contemporary facilities keep the feel of days gone by – warm tuffeau stone, traditional oak beams, historic buildings in rural countryside. Whilst you watch hen harriers, hares and buzzards you can almost hear the rattle of the hay cart or the turn of the wine press.

The Grenier is quite private with its own charming courtyard,a relaxing area to barbecue, sunbathe or enjoy the shade of the vines. The courtyard leads on to the potager and gardens at Les Mortiers and is separate and totally private from both The Grange and farmhouse, where we live.

It is so easy to relax in this peaceful environment and enjoy the region’s excellent wine and good food, or just sit and watch the stars at night in the clear sky. Here on the doorstep is delightful countryside and forests to walk, cycle and birdwatch, whatever your pace. A game of boules, tennis or pony trekking in the forests, perhaps?

Dip your toes in our superb heated pool (12m × 5m) and enjoy the soft oxygen treated water, kind to sensitive or young skins. Our “space dome” extends the season of the heated pool for swimming uninterrupted from mid-March to early November.

Parçay Les Pins is the nearest village, only one kilometre away, with a boulangerie for fresh bread, a cafe, a village shop and a small market each week. Two market gardens provide fresh fruit and vegetables plus offerings of seasonal vegetables from our potager. Asparagus, strawberries, apples and pears and vegetables are all grown locally.

Just saunter down to the café bar in the village for a drink or a reasonable meal, visit the Museum of Jules de Bois or wander a little further to find a wide range of restaurants offering you all the delights of Loire cuisine. There are 17 chateaux under 1 hour from the door. The historic towns of Saumur, Angers and Tours are all within easy reach.

For busy parents we offer a pack of Child Friendly equipment and there’s free internet access and bicycle hire. Let you children share the joy of collecting a newly laid eggs from our chickens.
