La Lapinière is a 130m2 luxury holiday home on the Lower Normandy peninsula. Situated just 10 minutes from beautiful sandy beaches and just 30 minutes from the Normandy landing beaches, the property is ideally situated for a family holiday in the area.

With 2 en-suite double bedrooms, and one childrens room sleeping up to 4 kids, the property is easily big enough to fit two families sharing, or one larger family comfortably.

All of our holiday homes are dog-friendly, in addition to the miles of vast empty beaches, there are fabulous walks through the beautiful French countryside for you and your dog to enjoy.

The extensive grounds feature two large ponds, with frogs galore for the kids to try and catch (they’re a bit quick off the mark though… they need to be in France) and some lovely ducks with a penchant for stale baguettes. We also have a 14ft trampoline and some swings for the kids on the play field to the rear of the barn.

Les Menthes sauvages

Old barn entirely restaured and converted into 2 independants gîtes each for 4 people with a large swimming pool (13 m X 9 m). Property of 4.000 m2 situated in the countryside at the confluence of the Vézère and the Dordogne.
Each gîte has a kitchen/living area, and a separate WC on the ground floor. On the first floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Each gite is also fully equipped and has a dishwasher and washing machine. The terraces overlook the beautiful countryside and have garden furniture and BBQ. A shady parking area has also been created near the properties.
We are situated in “le Pays des Bastides” . The bastides are the fortified towns in the south west of France founded in 1261 to 1316 as “new cities” by the French and English kings during the 100 years war. The finest and best preserved of the Perigord’s English bastides is Monpazier. Domme, Eymet, Beaumont du Perigord are others all meriting a visit. Within a radius of 30km around “Les Menthes Sauvages” it is possible to visit about 20 chateaux, for example, Beynac (the set for numerous films), Les Milandes (the home of Josephine Baker) and Castelnaud. The Perigord offers a wealth of tourist attractions such as the cave paintings at Lascaux, the caves of Les Eyzies de Tayac (the world capital of prehistory) and La Roque St Christophe. Not forgetting the medieval towns of Sarlat and Beynac to name but two.
The beautiful landscape is undulating and offers activities such as walking, cycling and horse riding, with canoeing, kayaking and trips on a “gabarre” available on the river Dordogne.

A barbecue, sun loungers, table and chairs ensure you make the most of your stay at La Laiterie.
Close to some of the most beautiful and impressive châteaux, such as Chenonceau and the captivating Villandry, Le Bouchet is the ideal location to make the most of your holiday – whether you want to chill out and relax by our heated pool or get out to see more of what our wonderful region has to offer. With the historic towns of Loches, Tours and Poitiers and the fantastic Futuroscope theme park all within easy reach, you are bound to find plenty to see and do for all ages. A couple of minutes away is the lively town of Descartes which has restaurants and bars and can provide for all your holiday needs with supermarkets, chemists, butchers, bakeries and a Sunday market selling everything from fish to flowers!
