Apart from being a perfect place to unwind, clear the mind and cleanse the spirit ‘Le Moulin de la Louve’ is well situated for visiting medieval hilltop towns and villages, unspoilt forests and lakes, celtic stones, burgundy wineyards and more.

The property is about 30 minutes away from the A6, (Exit the Motorway at ‘Avallon’) which is the main motorway between Paris and Lyon.
Practice your French in the small village shops and markets in the busy gastronomical town of Saulieu. Where the local butcher will tell you all about the famous ‘Charolais’ beef or the Fromager will explain in depth the merits of the strong-tasting cheese from the local monastry. Dine out in in style at the nearby Bernard Loiseau four star restaurant, or more simply have a great meal on the communual long oak table at the ‘Café Parisien’ or at the many other cafés, restaurants, and auberges situated in Saulieu, a historical stopping-off place between Paris and the South for centuries.

In a quiet peaceful and isolated location – Our gîte is self catering has two main rooms, bedroom, kitchen, dining room and is fully equipped. Breakfast can be arranged at an extra cost.

We are only 5km from Saulieu – which is the nearest town. The gite can be rented on a nightly or a weekly basis. Ideal for stop-overs and also for House Hunting in Burgundy, Julie and Denis are both in the French Property market and can therefore give you some great advice!

Burgundy Gite Rental in Tannay

La Petite Folie is a 2-storey stone cottage close to the center of Tannay, with sweeping views of the beautiful Burgundy countryside. Rental cost: €495 pw incl. gas/elect.

A boulangerie, charcuterie, butcher, chemist, newsagency, large supermarket, cafes and several restaurants are just a short stroll from the cottage.

The Canal du Nivernais is easily accessible if you appreciate a spectacular walking or cycling experience.

The villages of Vezelay, Clamecy, Corbigny and Varzy are all close by, whilst Auxerre, Dijon and Paris are 40 minutes, 2 hours and 2.5 hours drive respectively. Chablis is also less than one hour’s travel.

The cottage consists of kitchen, lounge/dining room, with bedroom and bathroom upstairs and includes: washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, gas stove/oven, microwave, LCD TV and DVD, including 140 cable-tv channels, wireless internet, unlimited free phone calls to many countries including Australia, radio/cd player with USB port, 2 sofas (one is a sofabed), king bed with new mattress, wall heaters in all rooms, fully renovated modern bathroom, heated towel rack, all linen/towels supplied, portable cot and linen, high chair.

La Petite Folie sleeps 2 or 4 people, and comes complete with brand new appliances, and has been recently painted and renovated throughout.

Marie-Claude and Claude Brodard invite you to enjoy the calm of the countryside in Château de Ribourdin in the village of Chevannes. The 5 rooms await you in the outbuildings of this 16th-century castle. Each of the five rooms, spacious and comfortable, are named after one of the castles of the village. They face east and offer a great view of the surrounding country. Each one has its own personality,style and colours. All rooms have private shower room, with bath or shower and WC. One bedroom is conveniently designed for disabled visitors.
In the hall, out of the large window, you’ll have a beautiful view on the castle and the church. You’ll have access to the room « Château-Gaillard ». The imposing oak staircase will lead you to the mezzanine and the lounge, and to the four bedrooms. On the garden level, the spacious and luminous room, with wooden beams and large windows, is painted with natural ochre colours of Puisaye. It opens on the garden and the main courtyard. You’ll enjoy the lounge, a charming place to relax or have a drink, tea, coffee or infusion, in front of the fire place.
An ornamental garden surrounded with a hedge of bower will provide you unforgettable moments of peace and relaxation, near the flowerbeds or in the shade of the trees. You will walk upon the small bridge over the Ribourdin watercourse which leads you to the orchard where Marie-Claude collects fruit to make delicious jam and to the family kitchen garden. With the first sunny days, you will relax in deck-chairs close to the family swimming-pool at your disposal. You’ll appreciate the calm of this castle and the copious breakfasts.
Ideally situated at about 7 km from Auxerre , you’ll be next to the historical, cultural and touristic sites : Guédelon, Saint-Fargeau, Vézelay, the Vineyards (Chablis, Irancy, Chitry), Noyers sur Serein, Aubigny, the castle of Tanlay, Meaulnes and Ancy-le-franc…
