The spacious yet cosy Lounge/Dining room retains the original open beams in the ceiling, and has a feature stone wall at one end with a wood-burning stove. Doors lead from both sides of the room; one to the Courtyard, the other to the private garden and terrace area. Beyond the garden is the parking area and sheltered communal grounds shared by our other two properties. Although primarily a holiday cottage for a couple or small family, we have provided ample crockery and other equipment to host visitors, and the dining table will comfortably seat six adults. The wood-burning stove, carefully placed lighting and good quality CD player combine to provide the perfect winter getaway for a romantic weekend, the likes of which are very hard to find in the off-season months in Brittany.

The bedroom is 5m x 7m, providing ample room for a young family, as well as being a really luxurious hideaway for a couple. The Bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, and plenty of room for an additional cot or foldaway bed if required. Please note that the stairs to the Bedroom are quite steep, and may not be suitable for some people.

The open beamed Kitchen is very spacious and overlooks the rear garden and terrace. With modern fittings, washing machine, microwave, filter coffee machine, fridge and freezer, the kitchen is well equipped for the creation of gourmet meals, but equally well suited to summer barbecues and salads! A half-glazed door leads from the kitchen directly onto the terrace, making it easy for the “chef” to use the BBQ provided!

The Bathroom has a large tiled shower cubicle with a powerful shower unit, built in hand basin and vanity unit and a WC. There is also an electric razor point in the Bathroom.

Like all of our properties, Nefflier Cottage is equipped with traditional furniture and modern appliances, in order to retain its character whilst providing you with a comfortable and luxurious holiday home.

Outside our Gite has a large enclosed garden with sun-loungers, table, chairs and BBQ for alfresco dining on the patio; plenty of toys, games and bikes for the children to play with and a 15′ pool to splash around in.
Inside the holiday accommodation has been carefully converted from the original farmhouse into a comfortable family holiday home by keeping features such as the open log fire and oak-beamed ceilings.

In the lounge there’s Sky TV, DVD and video players, a Sega Megadrive, and a wide selection of children’s and family films to enjoy. The fully fitted kitchen includes halogen hob, a double oven, a dishwasher, microwave and everything you need for your stay with us.

Our Gite can sleep 6 in comfort with two double bedrooms (one with a Nursery area outside) and a third twin-bedded bedroom. Downstairs is a toilet and shower-room and upstairs there is a separate toilet and bathroom.

There’s lots to see and do in the local area with medieval towns such as Josselin, Moncontour and Pontivy all just a short drive away. Other attractions include the Insectarium at Lizio, the fantastic Aquatides swimming centre at Loudeac, the motor museum at Loheac (over 400 historical cars!), Bourbonais Zoo, man-made beaches at Lac de Duc and Lac de Gurledan, the Menhirs of Carnac, Abbey de Timaduc, canoeing on the River Lie, visiting a travelling circus, Mont St Michel, or both the North and South Brittany coasts are just 40 minutes drive away.

For the little one’s we provide children’s cups, plates, cutlery, two high chairs, a steriliser, a baby monitor, a fixed cot (in the Nursery area) and a travel cot (if you’d prefer for your bedroom). We even have a single and a double buggy, a bike trailer and a bike seat so you can take the whole family for rides in the local countryside, and there’s a selection of Wellington boots to keep them clean as well !!

Our rental price varies by season from £225 to £500 per week and is fully inclusive of all costs, including bed linen and a welcome pack on arrival. We’re open to rent throughout the year and are completely flexible about dates so whether you’d like a few days, a week, ten days, two weeks, or longer, please do drop us a line.
